In an interview with the August issue of Details, Hayden Panettiere reveals she was "tortured" by bullies as a kid. From the magazine:
It's not easy being beautiful and special and talented,

and Panettiere lived through her share of Mean Girls shit. Mostly homeschooled, she occasionally returned from acting gigs to her public school in Rockland County, New York, and her classmates' wrath. In middle school, she was punched in the face by "a very angry, very sad girl," she says, as if echoing the words her mom used to comfort her at the time. "I was tortured, emotionally tortured by these girls. Every time I came back from filming, it would be me trying to find my way back into the clique. And they weren't having it."
Hayden wasn't beaten up by kids at school because she was so "beautiful and special and talented." She was beaten up because she THOUGHT she was. She took time out to stop off at MTV studios and appear on It’ On with Alexa Chung before heading out for something to eat. later on last night she worked the red carpet for the premiere of a movie I have yet to see a commercial for. Don’t know if will be any good, but watching Hayden on the big screen for 90 minutes can’t be all bad.

Remember last October when Jeremy Piven was hitting on Hayden Panettiere at an Emmy's afterparty, but she brushed him off? Nine months later, he's still trying to get into her pants. From the New York Post:
Jeremy Piven seemed fully recovered from mercury poisoning at Thursday night's "Entourage" premiere in LA. Spies at the Belvedere-hosted soiree on the Paramount lot told us, "Piven was looking Hayden Panettiere up and down in between sips of vodka and soda."
These two would be perfect for each other. Hayden likes older men and Jeremy likes women that are breathing. Further evidence that these two were made for each other: They both shop for clothes in the "Juniors" department, and they both list "acting" and "racing horses" as their hobbies. If Jeremy's serious about getting into Hayden's pants, there's only one thing he can do that's guaranteed to seal the deal. Hayden Panettiere flaunts her Cannes cleavage!

First of all, I’d like to render my apologies for branding Hayden Panettiere a ‘non-cleavage’ item. As you can see in these pics, there is a faint possibility of a cleavage on Hayden Panettiere. I know she is working too hard and coming up with weird poses to work up some cleavage, but I’m amazed. I’m really amazed at the amount of dedication and effort this girl has been putting into her act. Here she is seen soaking up the sun in a bikini at the Cannes Film Festival, and working up a magical cleavage from out of nowhere.
