I hate to call a favorite for Best Picture this early in the year, but Piranha 3-D is looking awfully promising. Plot summary via IMDB:

Lake Victoria sits in the crater formed by a prehistoric volcanic eruption, and when earth tremors tear open a crack in the lake floor, all hell breaks through. Even more amazing than the plot (sex-crazed mayhem and piranhas) is the fact that both Elisabeth Shue (nominated for an Oscar in 1996) and Richard Dreyfuss (won an Oscar in 1978) are starring in the film. Clearly the producers must be holding their families hostage until filming is complete.
